Trinity Catholic School, a K-8 school located in Tallahassee, FL is seeking highly qualified Middle School Literature teacher for the 2025-26 school year. Trinity Middle School is an International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IB MYP) and teachers are trained in this framework of teaching and learning.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Recognizes and supports the unique Catholic Mission of the school by speaking, acting, and instructing consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Gives evidence of lived Gospel values by being an active member of a faith community and a willingness to participate in and plan school religious and service activities.
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Develop, document and submit unit plans and weekly lesson plans, including activities, consistent with curriculum guidelines, to motivate, challenge and engage all students.
- Demonstrate competence in teaching by demonstrating current, thorough knowledge of curriculum and subject matter and be able to communicate effectively with students; be able to organize classroom learning and materials to maximize student time on tasks as well as motivate student learning
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management
- Develop and use effective methods of evaluation that are directly related to curriculum objectives and to concepts and skills taught; consistently and effectively evaluate student progress; updating electronic grade book weekly.
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic and timely manner
- Participate in faculty meetings, retreats, school committees and in-service learning opportunities
- Participate in the active supervision of students at all times to include arrival/dismissal, car line, recess, lunch, etc.
- Establish a consistent disciplinary approach which promotes self-direction and positive self-image; set high standards for student behavior and manager inappropriate behavior effectively.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff and administration
- Integrate Chromebook and other technology effectively into a 21st Century classroom
- Actively participate in on going embedded professional development and professional learning communities
- Maintain confidentiality of information, display sound judgment in dress and general behavior.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, from an accredited college or university.
Current State of Florida English 6-12 teacher certification
Experience teaching middle school students.
Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred
Must be comfortable with technology to include Chromebooks, Google apps, document cameras, etc.
Must have a commitment to Catholic School education
