Luther Park Community is seeking a Environmental Services Supervisor to join our team!
The ideal candidate has a love for the elderly, promotes teamwork, is a great communicator and mentor to staff and is grounded in excellent resident care. The Environmental Services Supervisor manages and supervises environmental services, laundry and floor care functions according to Luther Park Community policies and procedures and state/federal requirements. The supervisor provides leadership, support, coordination and guidance to ensure quality standards, inventory levels, safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and ensure the satisfactory planning, coordination and completion of projects and work on all shifts.
Make administrative decisions with regard to the hiring, training and assignment of department personnel, recommending employee promotions and terminations.
Perform daily, weekly and monthly environmental services inspections in order to ensure the facility is maintained in a safe and sanitary manner according to facility policy.
Ensure all equipment is maintained in working order.
Oversee the purchase of cleaning supplies, chemicals, paper products, office supplies and equipment as needed to meet department demands.
Ensure facility maintains sufficient inventory of janitorial supplies.
Fill-in for staff as needed.
Conduct training, quality control and staff in-service/education.
Remain professional at all times and model professionalism for front-line staff.
Consistently embody organization's Mission, Vision and Core Values.
Inspect the facility for adherence to established quality standards.
Report maintenance issues.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
Basic computer skills in MS Office products.
Two year's experience in healthcare environment and personnel supervision.
Knowledge of environmental services, laundry and floor care program.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, equipment operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routing reports and procedure manuals.
Strong work ethic, drive and initiative for quality improvement and customer service.
Ability to understand and place into action basic infection control procedures.
Ability to handle and mix chemicals safely and properly.
High attention to detail.
