What are the responsibilities and job description for the Creative Arts Instructor position at Trinity Christian School?
We are seeking an experienced K5–12th grade Art Teacher to join our Christian school. In this role, you will be responsible for creating lesson plans and delivering instruction in visual arts to students across all grade levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to integrating Christian values into art education. The successful candidate will foster a creative, Christ-centered learning environment that nurtures both spiritual and artistic growth while encouraging students to develop their artistic talents. Additionally, this role requires a dedication to mentoring and discipling students in their faith journey.
Art Teacher Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute lesson plans for elementary, middle, and high school art classes.
- Teach various art techniques, history, and appreciation across different media.
- Encourage creativity while integrating biblical principles into lessons.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Prepare students for art showcases, competitions, and exhibitions.
- Utilize technology and hands-on projects to enhance student engagement.
- Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure student success.
- Manage classroom behavior in a structured and positive manner.
- Provide extra guidance to students needing additional support.
- Participate in professional development activities.
Art Teacher Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Art, Art Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an art teacher or in a similar instructional role.
- Excellent knowledge of art history, techniques, and curriculum.
- Ability to engage and inspire students of all ages.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Proficient in integrating technology into instruction.
- Proficient in using technology to support instruction. Including, but not limited to experience with or ability to learn and effectively use the school’s Information Management System to configure gradebook settings, enter and grade assignments, input lesson plans, take attendance, and communicate with parents.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
