Full-Time (38-40 hours/weekly);
HOURS WORKED: Monday – Friday (10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
SUPERVISOR: EEC Director
POSITION SUMMARY: Assist EEC Director with office and classroom management to ensure the safety, quality, and compliance of the TCS EEC. Employee Administration: primary focus will be working directly with the employees as it relates to call-ins, morale/celebrations, day-to-day ratios, training, employee files complete as it relates to licensing requirements, cross-training with Director, oversee classrooms. Primary backup to Director in her absence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
COMPLIANCE
- Assist and comply with licensing rules and regulations. Ensure that all employees comply with the minimum state standards.
- Required by the state to receive 30 clock hours of training annually.
- Participate in Safety practices – have current fire, tornado, & SOS drills.
- Complete FBI fingerprint background checks on all employees upon hire and interim checks every 36 months.
- CPR certified and use when necessary Responsible for the overall supervision of the EEC in absence of director to include: safety, quality and compliance.
Office Management
- Direct oversight to teachers.
- Will provide reviews, corrective action and disciplinary notices to staff as needed.
- Responsible for preparing monthly birthday baskets and cards for EEC staff.
- Responsible for classroom management.
- Manage employee records: training, backgrounds checks,
- Ensure employees have assignments that match their skills, abilities, and training
- Meet and greet new parents visiting the EEC program.
- Provide tours and familiarize new families to EEC teachers and classrooms
- Maintain open and daily communication with EEC Director.
- Attend weekly staff meetings.
- Be available for parents, teachers, and children when in need of counsel.
Classroom Management
- Ensure classrooms reflect a professional Christian environment
- New staff orientation, in-service programs, continuing education, teaching demonstrations, morning devotions, employee evaluations.
- Ensure classrooms/areas and teacher needs are being met
- Observe in classrooms.
- Supervise facilities. i.e. bathrooms and playground area.
- Assist in supervising facilities. i.e. bathrooms and playground area.
- Ensure teachers are trained appropriately to discipline children with positive techniques.
- Assist teachers in calling parents in relation to sending children home according to TLC’s guidelines.
- Manage and respond to conducted fire/safety drills.
- Assist in Recruiting, training and hiring staff.
- Help develop the Vision, Mission and Values Statement of Trinity Church and Grow in personal discipleship through: Bible study, Life groups, Prayer, Giving of Tithe and Offerings.
- Grow in personal discipleship through Bible study, prayer, devotionals and giving of tithe and offering.
- Member of Trinity Church. If not, an active member of a local church.
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS: CDA or college degree in Child development, education, or a related field. 3 years experience teaching in a classroom, 3 years childcare experience. CPR certified. 2 years working in or with a successful, licensed day care. Must be able to meet the minimum license qualifications for the Assistant Director certification. Must have management or supervisory experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems efficiently and effectively while maintaining good working relationships and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain professional attitude and poise. Knowledge of Early Childhood Development and standards. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
