Adjunct Faculty For Health Sciences, Advanced Technical Center
Salary: $1375 per credit
Trinity Washington University is seeking a dynamic educator to teach courses within the General Nursing program for the new Advanced Technical Center (ATC), a high school dual enrollment program in the College of Arts & Sciences for Fall Semester 2025, Winter Term 2026, Spring Semester 2026 and May Term 2026. The adjunct instructor will teach these courses at the ATC’s Penn Center, which is located at 1709 3rd St NE.
The Fall Semester ATC classes start on August 25, 2025. This role would include additional compensation commensurate with the additional teaching hours at a rate of $1,375 per credit.
For Fall Semester 2025, candidates would teach one section of the 4-credit BIOL 121: Anatomy & Physiology I course per the following schedule:

For the Winter Term 2026, candidates would teach one section of the 1-credit INT 120: Experiential Learning II: Health Science course per the following schedule:
INT120/3: MTWTHF 12:15 – 1:35 PM
For Spring Semester 2026, candidates would teach one section of the 4-credit BIOL 122: Anatomy & Physiology II course per the following schedule:
BIOL 122/3: MTWTHF 12:15 – 1:35 PM
For May Term 2026, candidates would teach one section of the 2-credit HPNU 130: Allied Health Skills Lab course per the following schedule:
HPNU 130/3: MTWTHF 12:15 – 1:35 PM
The Advanced Technical Center is a partnership with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education to provide DC high school students with the opportunity to complete dual enrollment pathways in Career and Technical Education fields such as health sciences and information technology.
QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates should have earned at least a Master’s degree from an accredited institution and be able to demonstrate strong teaching skills. Previous undergraduate classroom experience required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching dual enrollment students, and who demonstrate excellence with engaged and active learning practices.
Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations and/or other evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will be needed if the candidate is invited to campus for an interview. Knowledge of best teaching practices is required. Finalists will be invited for an interview and teaching demonstration.
