Adjunct Faculty for Mathematics
Trinity Washington University, a comprehensive institution in the nation’s capital, seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach the following face-to-face course for Spring 2025.
MATH 109: Foundations of Mathematics (4 credits), Tues, Thurs, Fri 10:30 AM - 11:45 AM
Compensation - $965/credit
Fall classes begin on Monday, August 26 and end Friday, December 6. Final Exam week is from Monday, December 9 through Friday, December 13.
QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates should have earned at least a Master’s degree from an accredited institution in mathematics or a related discipline and be able to demonstrate strong teaching skills. Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations and/or other evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will be needed if the candidate is invited to campus for an interview. Knowledge of best teaching practices is required. Finalists will be invited to campus for an interview and teaching demonstration. Preference given to candidates who demonstrate excellence with engaged and active learning practices, and who have experience teaching first-year students
