About the Company - Trinity is seeking an interim EHS Manager to provide client support on a full-time basis for 3 – 6 months to an adhesives client in Rockland, MA.

Responsibilities
- The incumbent is responsible for communication and reinforcement of safe work procedures and practices with the management personnel as well as associates working in Silver Grove. This will include providing the training or arranging for the appropriate qualified instructors to provide the training.
- Assisting management personnel in conducting root cause analysis.
- Establishment and maintenance of medical surveillance program(s) as required by Occupational Health & Safety legislation is a further responsibility of this position. This includes the annual Audiometric Testing and our Modified / Alternate Duty Program.
- The incumbent will work in a confidential manner to assist plant management with Safety and Environmental compliance.
- 75% of time to be spent in the plant interacting with operations.
Specific Accountabilities
SAFETY
- Maintain knowledge of Current Applicable Legislation.
- Assist Operations in the implementation and management of the Process Safety Program.
- Conduct accountability audits and annual Safety Audits and assist in External Audits.
- Assist Operations in Accident Investigations.
- Participate in Accident Investigation with potential for Loss of Life.
- Conduct monthly inspections of the plant and prepare report for Management and Associates.
- Provide assistance to the Safety Director as required.
- Complete Weekly & Monthly Reports based on information received from operations.
- Arrange or conduct Safety Education / Training.
- Participate in Safety Meetings.
- Recommend updates to Plant Safety Programs.
- Other duties as required in the development of Safety programs.
ENVIRONMENT
- Work with Director of Regulatory Compliance as required.
- Complete Environmental Assessments as required.
- Maintain records.
- Complete quarterly Environmental Liability Exposure reports.
- Develop or arrange training for supervisors in order to meet Due Diligence requirements.
- Have a working knowledge of Environmental legislation to act as a resource to Management.
- Assist to develop and maintain site plans and plant floor plans.
- Assist to develop and update emergency response plans as required.
- Obtain air, water and waste permits as required.
- Other duties as required in the development of Environmental programs.
Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Industrial, Safety, Public Health or equivalent.
- Must have good communication and presentation skills. Must have computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Professional certifications in the areas of Safety/Risk Management and Environmental/Regulatory Compliance are strongly desired. (e.g., CSP, CHMM, etc)
Experience:
- Five years of related safety experience in a manufacturing/production operation.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and Worker’s Compensation and Workers Compensation Claims Management.
- Working knowledge of Environmental Regulations (environmental concepts/issues, air quality management, waste management, environmental management tools, environmental liability management).
- Qualified trainer
- Computer proficiency in MS Office
