What are the responsibilities and job description for the Remediation/Industrial Hygienist Manager position at Trinity Consultants Engineering & EHS Workforce Solutions?
Duties :
- Prepare and review hazardous building material sampling and survey plans including but not limited to : Asbestos, Lead, PCBs, and Mercury.
- Execute sampling and survey plans following appropriate EPA methods.
- Prepare survey reports with recommended abatement strategies for identified hazardous materials requiring abatement.
- Prepare procurement documents in accordance with AOC requirements to procure abatement contractors as required such as statements of work and independent government cost estimates. Submit required documents into AOC electronic procurement systems as directed. Track and follow up of all entered procurements through the procurement system until award.
- Transport all collected samples to approved laboratories for analysis.
- Prepare all asbestos shipping papers and schedule all asbestos waste pickups with the hauler and CPP Insulation Shop.
- Provide training and oversight to CPP Insulation Shop personnel on developing sampling SOPs and preparing proper documentation for small abatement and O&M projects.
- Conduct exposure assessments and air monitoring as requested for ongoing abatements.
- Prepare procurement packages for contractors to execute .
- Prepare and maintain project schedules and prioritization including scheduling and agenda preparation for meetings with stakeholders.
- Provide periodic updates for project and sampling status as requested.
- Prepare and submit EPA and DOEE notifications as required and update as necessary.
- Inspect and monitor active abatement projects daily or otherwise as directed by CPP.
- Track and file all records required by applicable regulations and AOC policies.
- Other Industrial Hygiene duties as assigned.
- Develop, ensure the quality of, and maintain all records per AOC policies and applicable regulations.
- Conduct on-the-job training for CPP Insulators on hazmat sampling, work practices, and recordkeeping including air monitoring SOPs.
- Prepare an inventory of materials required to conduct all duties described and using CPP procurement processes to maintain it. Provide other safety trainings as needed to insulation shop employees to continue normal operations as required.
