Trinity Elms is hiring a Full-time Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)!
The Assistant Director of Nursing functions as a leader and role model for other nursing teammates, responsible in relieving the DON, in their absence.

- Salary Up to $43.00 per hour
- $5,000 INCENTIVE (paid out in increments over the first year of employment)

Position Purpose/Summary:
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) works with the Director of Nursing to establish a framework through which person-centered resident care can be provided in keeping with the philosophies and objectives of LSC. The ADON functions as a leader and role model for other nursing personnel and has the responsibility to relieve the Director of Nursing in his or her absence.
Essential Functions: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions).
1. Participates in the establishment, interpretation, and implementation of nursingservice philosophy, objectives, and policies.
2. Supervises nursing personnel to ensure that duties are carried out in a manner that provides maximum quality of care to residents.
3. Serves on facility committees, such the Quality Assurance and PerformanceImprovement (QAPI) Committee, as assigned.
4. Works with physicians, consultants, and other disciplines within the facility to assure that each resident receives optimal care in the provision of his or her physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
5. Assumes proportionate share of 24-hour call.
6. Acts as liaison with licensed personnel for consultation and decision-making.
7. Conducts daily rounds, nursing observations, and assessments, as indicated.
8. Demonstrates knowledge of emergency care, disaster and evacuation policies and procedures, and safety program.
9. Performs duties of Nursing Supervisor, Charge Nurse or Staff Nurse when required.
10. Performs duties of the Director of Nursing in the case of absence or as assigned.
11. Understands and assures compliance with current State and Federal regulations and LSC policies, procedures, and philosophies.
12. Participates in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of the nursing department personnel program, including staffing, interviewing and hiring, coaching, evaluations, and disciplinary action as required.
13. Monitors restorative nursing program, infection control program, QAPI program, as assigned.
14. Participates in educational programs as required.
15. Reflect LSCs mission, vision, values and customer service standards in daily interactions.
16. Completes other assigned duties as may be necessary for the orderly operation of the facility.
Supervisory Responsibilities, if any: Supervises all nursing personnel under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
Qualifications (Minimum Job Requirements):
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in geriatric care and supervision preferred.
Specific skills/abilities:
Proven ability to work with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, email), and other programs adopted by LSC, including electronic medical records. Coaching skills as a supervisor. Ability to communicate with staff, residents/families and maintain confidentiality.
Specialized knowledge, licenses: Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina. CPR certified or ability to become CPR certified.

1. Able to lift up to 35 pounds and assist with repositioning or transferring of individuals of varying weights following established safe lifting procedures.
2. Ambulatory throughout the facility.
