Would you love to work in a private practice Rheumatology setting where you work closely with the providers and can get to know your patients and their families as they receive treatment?
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dedicated team at our Rheumatology practice. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in collaboration with our healthcare providers, supporting patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise will contribute to managing patient assessments, treatments, and follow-ups in a warm, patient-centered environment
We are looking for an LPN with the following Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong IV skills, self-starter, excellent critical thinking skills and teamwork are a must
• IV therapy experience required/Rheumatology experience preferred
• Must have current Oklahoma LPN license
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Excellent phone skills for managing triage line and patient phone calls
• Pay dependent on IV experience
• Must pass drug test
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Care and Assessment: Conduct initial patient assessments, gather vital signs, document patient history, and monitor ongoing symptoms related to rheumatologic conditions.
• Clinical Support: Assist physicians and advanced practice practitioners in administering treatments, including injections, infusions, and other specialized procedures common in rheumatology.
• Education and Communication: Educate patients and families on medication, treatment plans, and self-management strategies for chronic conditions, ensuring clarity and addressing any questions or concerns.
• Treatment Management: Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, monitor patient responses, and report any adverse reactions or issues to healthcare providers.
• Documentation: Accurately record all patient interactions, treatments, and observations in the electronic medical records (EMR) system, maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Patient Scheduling and Coordination: Assist with coordinating follow-up appointments, referrals, and lab work, helping patients manage their healthcare needs.
• Infection Control and Compliance: Follow established infection control and safety guidelines to protect patients, team members, and yourself, and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations.
• Duties include but are not limited to patient care, patient triage, refill requests, prior authorizations, injections, scheduling, answering phones, and patient calls.
Qualifications:
• Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Licensure: Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Oklahoma.
• Experience: 1-2 years of Previous experience in rheumatology, chronic disease management, or specialty practice preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with EMR systems.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to maintain a high level of stamina and focus, stand and move for extended periods, and lift or move patients as needed. Long periods of sitting may be required when covering the triage line.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $66,560.00 per year

* Collect samples, such as blood, urine, or sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
* Prepare or examine food trays for conformance to prescribed diet.
* Help patients with bathing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene, moving in bed, or standing and walking.
* Prepare patients for examinations, tests, or treatments and explain procedures.
* Apply compresses, ice bags, or hot water bottles.
* Provide medical treatment or personal care to patients in private home settings, such as cooking, keeping rooms orderly, seeing that patients are comfortable and in good spirits, or instructing family members in simple nursing tasks.
* Sterilize equipment and supplies, using germicides, sterilizer, or autoclave.
* Make appointments, keep records, or perform other clerical duties in doctors' offices or clinics.
* Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms.
* Wash and dress bodies of deceased persons.
* Clean rooms and make beds.
* Inventory and requisition supplies and instruments.
* Assist in delivery, care, or feeding of infants.
