Pay: $16-20/hr DOE
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Laser Machine Operator to join our growing team. In this role, you will operate and maintain laser cutting machines to fabricate metal components for a variety of projects. As a Laser Machine Operator at Andy Anderson Metal Works, you will be responsible for ensuring the production of high-quality parts in an efficient and safe manner, adhering to all company standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor laser cutting machines to produce metal parts according to specifications and drawings.
- Review blueprints and job orders to ensure proper machine setup and adjustments.
- Set up, calibrate, and load materials into laser machines.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet customer requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on laser machines to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work closely with other team members and departments to meet production deadlines.
- Continuously assess and adjust processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Stay updated on the latest technology and equipment in laser cutting to contribute to the company’s goal of staying ahead of the curve.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machines, preferably in a metal fabrication environment.
- Strong understanding of blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of materials and metalworking processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot and make adjustments to machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality production.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods of time.
- Familiarity with safety standards and protocols in a manufacturing environment.
