Job Title: Apprentice Machinist
Location: Tulsa, OK
Pay: $16-20 /hr DOE
Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as an Apprentice Machinist. This apprenticeship is designed for someone eager to learn the fundamentals of machining and start a rewarding career in the manufacturing industry. Whether you're a recent high school graduate, someone transitioning careers, or an individual looking for hands-on experience in the field, this position offers a structured path to becoming a skilled machinist or even advancing to a CNC Programmer or Manufacturing Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
- Material Verification & Documentation: Assist in confirming the correct materials and ensuring all required paperwork is accurate and complete before beginning production.
- Shop Scheduling Assistance: Support the scheduling process, helping to prioritize jobs, track deadlines, and ensure smooth workflow on the shop floor.
- Machine Setup & Operation: Learn to set up, operate, and troubleshoot a variety of machines, including automated saws, Bridgeport milling machines, and CNC lathes and mills.
- Production Support: Assist with running jobs on CNC machines, ensuring that quality and precision are maintained in all production processes.
- Workplace Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to safety protocols, keeping your work area organized, clean, and up to safety standards.
- Skill Development: Participate in training sessions, shadow experienced machinists, and gradually take on more responsibility as you develop expertise in the trade.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Mechanical Aptitude: You have a natural curiosity about machinery and how things work. Basic experience with tools or mechanical equipment is a plus, but not required.
- Math & Measurement Skills: You’re comfortable using basic math, reading measurements, and performing simple calculations to ensure accurate machining.

High School Diploma
2-3 years previous logistics or warehouse experience a plus
* Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments, such as micrometers or vernier calipers.
* Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
* Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers.
* Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.
* Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments.
* Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering.
* Confer with establishment personnel, vendors, or customers to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
* Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities.
