Job Title: Registered Nurse – Hematology Clinic
Location: Tulsa, OK
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $30 - $35 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Hematology Clinic team. This position will work directly with our Malignant Hematology Physicians to provide compassionate care to patients undergoing treatments related to hematological malignancies, including stem cell transplants and induction chemotherapy. Ideal candidates will bring strong expertise in chemotherapy administration, patient education, and management of hematology patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the care and treatment of patients with hematologic malignancies, including but not limited to leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.
Administer chemotherapy and other treatments under physician direction.
Provide patient assessments, including baseline evaluations and ongoing monitoring during treatments.
Educate patients and families about their diagnosis, treatment plan, and any potential side effects of therapy.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Monitor and manage side effects of chemotherapy and other hematologic treatments, including supportive care interventions.
Provide emotional support to patients and families throughout the treatment process.
Document all patient interactions, assessments, and treatments in the medical record.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of oncology and hematology nursing practices and protocols.
Required Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in [State].
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in oncology, hematology, or a related clinic setting.
Experience with chemotherapy administration and/or stem cell transplants.
Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to manage complex care plans.
Knowledge of hematologic conditions, treatment modalities, and symptom management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
BLS and/or ACLS certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) or equivalent certification.
Experience working with malignant hematology patients and treatments such as induction chemotherapy and bone marrow/stem cell transplants.
Previous experience in a hematology/oncology outpatient clinic setting.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

* Perform administrative or managerial functions, such as taking responsibility for a unit's staff, budget, planning, or long-range goals.
* Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's condition.
* Prescribe or recommend drugs, medical devices, or other forms of treatment, such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
* Direct or coordinate infection control programs, advising or consulting with specified personnel about necessary precautions.
* Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensure that stock of supplies is maintained.
* Administer local, inhalation, intravenous, or other anesthetics.
* Provide or arrange for training or instruction of auxiliary personnel or students.
* Refer students or patients to specialized health resources or community agencies furnishing assistance.
* Perform physical examinations, make tentative diagnoses, and treat patients en route to hospitals or at disaster site triage centers.
* Consult with institutions or associations regarding issues or concerns relevant to the practice and profession of nursing.
* Inform physician of patient's condition during anesthesia.
* Engage in research activities related to nursing.
