Full Time | Monday-Friday | 8am-4:30pm

Pay: $15-18/hr DOE
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and organized Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of shipping and receiving operations within the company. You will ensure that products are accurately and efficiently processed, stored, and shipped, maintaining smooth logistics to support the production team and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments of raw materials, parts, and finished products to verify accuracy, quality, and condition.
- Document and track incoming and outgoing shipments, including maintaining accurate records and inventories.
- Prepare, package, and label finished goods for shipment to customers, ensuring all items are securely packed and comply with shipping regulations.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely delivery of parts and materials.
- Perform routine inventory checks to monitor stock levels and assist with reordering materials as needed.
- Maintain an organized and clean shipping/receiving area, ensuring proper handling of goods and adherence to safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies or issues.
- Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and other required paperwork.
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks and ensuring all materials are safely handled and stored.
- Monitor and report any discrepancies, damage, or quality concerns to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures, regulations, and best practices.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and product handling.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely and efficiently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to shipping, receiving, or inventory.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of metalworking materials is a plus but not required.
