Welder/Fitter
Days 7am-3:45pm
$18 to $25 per hour BOE
Summary: Performs welding and fit up duties to specifications from engineered prints.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Cutting steel materials.
• Cleaning steel materials.
• Laying out steel materials to print.
• Welding steel materials to specifications.
• Welding pipe to specifications.
Must have experience in mig, tig, flux and 6G.
Needs to know how to fabricate., Weld test:
Tig test

1G-3G
Initiative:
• Repair and maintain equipment according to Company standards.
• Promote operations in a safe, efficient and professional manner.
• Comply with Company safety training and procedures.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Able to lift 65 lbs from floor to shoulder level occasionally.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 100 lbs.
• Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hands and fingers. Also crawling and working in narrow spaces.
• Requires frequent repetitive movements, i.e. hammering, turning wrenches, or used screwdrivers.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers.
• Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
• Exposed to cold, heat, noise mechanical/electrical fume or odor.
• Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift

* Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
* Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
* Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
* Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors.
* Grind, cut, buff, or bend edges of workpieces to be joined to ensure snug fit, using power grinders and hand tools.
* Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys.
* Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
* Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
Salary : $18 - $25
