Job Summary:
The IT Finance Specialist is responsible for managing the financial planning, budgeting, and analysis of IT-related expenses within an organization. This role serves as the bridge between finance and IT departments, ensuring cost efficiency, financial compliance, and strategic decision-making regarding technology investments.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage IT budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
Track and analyze IT expenditures, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
Provide financial analysis for IT projects, software, hardware, and infrastructure investments.
Collaborate with IT and finance teams to optimize IT spending and resource allocation.
Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations to senior management.
Manage IT financial reporting and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Evaluate cost-benefit analysis for new IT initiatives and vendor contracts.
Assist in procurement decisions, negotiating contracts with IT vendors and service providers.
Monitor IT-related risks, including financial and operational risks.
Support internal and external audits related to IT financial transactions.
Qualifications and Skills:
5 - 10 years of experience in finance, with a focus on budget analysis. Not interested in candidates with experience greater than 10 years.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong understanding of IT operations
Proficient in data analysis tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
