The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor supervises staff who are manufacturing doors and organizes and monitors workflow.  Production Supervisors ensure all manufacturing goes smoothly and efficiently by closely monitoring how employees organize their workflows. A Production Supervisor is integral in a fast-paced production environment.

A candidate who can comprehend complex operations is important. At the end of the day, the best candidate for a 2^nd Shift Supervisor should ensure the production process delivers high quality products in the most profitable manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervise production employee’s daily activities and job organization
• Ensure that the timecard system is current and up to date
• Ensure there is proper employee coverage in place daily
• Deal with daily employee issues such as disciplinary actions and complaints
• Set the example for your employees. Do the right thing
• Administer disciplinary action, when necessary, in accordance with the Trinity Handbook
• Manage department employees in ADP payroll system
• Plan staffing needs including temporary workers, employee vacations, callouts, etc.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Establish daily٫ weekly and monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
• Manage the workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
• Guide and coach employees٫ monitoring their productivity
• Oversee safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
• Perform verification of production output according to specifications
• Prepare reports on performance and progress and present them to senior managers
• Detect issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
• Consult new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
• Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and company standards
• Ensure employees are paid correctly by verifying ADP status daily

Education and Experience:

• 2 years' experience supervising 20 or more employees and working as a Production Supervisor or other similar position
• Good practical experience with MS Office
• High School Diploma: additional degree in engineering or other relevant area will be a bonus
• Profound experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
