Remote Windchill Solution Architect

We are seeking an experienced Windchill Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PLM strategy, Windchill customization, and integration with enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, and CAD tools. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and end-users to align the Windchill solution with organizational objectives and ensure successful project delivery.

Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Design and Architecture

• Develop and document high-level and detailed solution designs for Windchill implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and alignment with industry best practices and client requirements.
• Define the integration architecture between Windchill and other enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, CPQ, and CAD platforms.

Requirements Gathering and Analysis

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and analyze functional and technical requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions and roadmap deliverables.

Customization and Configuration

• Design and oversee the development of customizations, workflows, and extensions to tailor Windchill to client-specific needs.
• Define and validate technical specifications for system configurations, object modeling, and process workflows.

Implementation Leadership

• Lead end-to-end implementation projects, including installing, configuring, testing, and deploying Windchill solutions.
• Provide guidance to development and implementation teams, ensuring design and delivery standards adherence.

Performance Optimization and Support

• Identify areas of system performance improvement and recommend optimization strategies.
• Provide level 3 support for complex system issues and troubleshooting.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and project teams regarding Windchill solutions.
• Conduct regular reviews and updates with stakeholders to ensure alignment and address project risks and issues.

Training and Documentation

• Develop and deliver training for end-users, administrators, and support teams.
• Maintain detailed documentation for system designs, configurations, and best practices.

QualificationsEducation

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• 7 years of experience in PLM systems, with at least 5 years focused on Windchill.
• Hands-on experience with Windchill modules (PDMLink, MPMLink, PartsLink, etc.) and related tools.
• Proven track record of leading Windchill implementation and integration projects in large-scale environments.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in Windchill configuration, customization, and workflow development.
• Strong knowledge and awareness of integration tools and techniques, (e.g., REST, SOAP, ThingWorx, or custom APIs).
• Familiarity with enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle ERP, MES, or other engineering tools.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or PTC Cloud) is a plus.

Location: US

This role may require occasional travel, depending on project needs. Based on company policy, hybrid and remote work options may be available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
