What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Resource Manager position at Trinity Health Michigan?
POSITION PURPOSE
The RN Registered Nurse Patient Resource Manager (PRM) is responsible for inpatient bed management and patient placement. They will supervise implementation of the flexible staffing system on a shift-by-shift basis.
This position is a Full-Time, benefited position, scheduled 36 hours per week. Twelve-hour rotating shifts, Nights and Evening shifts, with a weekend and holiday rotation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The PRM will facilitate patient access to the clinically appropriate level of care in collaboration with other members of the health care team through the use of clinical criteria, utilization management and managed care processes while evaluating care based upon quality, access and cost-effectiveness.
This role will also serve as a leadership resource as needed.
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from accredited nursing program: New hires as of 1/1/12 must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within the specified time frame.
Requires current Michigan Nursing License.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an RN in an acute care setting.
Prior successful leadership experience, i.e. Shift Coordinator, Team Leader, committee participation, or previous Case Management experience in an Acute Care setting.
