ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepares, packages, and distributes medication orders per physician request, pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures and protocols with focus on accuracy.
- Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures. Contributes to effective and quality operation of the department.
- Maintains logs, records, and other required files and documentation; answers telephone and pneumatic tube; and handles cash transactions.
- Processes medication charges and credits according to established policy.
- Able to resolve problems with minimal interventions or supervision
- Assists other technician in completion of their roles.
- Performs pharmacy computer order entry.
- Performs other related duties as assigned in a timely manner.
