About the Job
This part-time role involves working on an evening shift, Monday to Thursday and Friday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing physician orders and examining patients, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images are produced in accordance with department protocols.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain routine radiographs of designated body portions for interpretation by physicians.
- Assist the Radiologist in performing routine radiographs, adjusting and manipulating various imaging equipment and accessories.
- Monitor patient condition before and during procedures, recognizing changes that may require emergency actions.
- Document procedure verification and procedural using a computerized system.
Requirements
- Knowledge of exposure methods to obtain clearly defined films and set up/operate equipment with emphasis on reducing patient radiation dose (ALARA).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to effectively deal with patients and hospital personnel.
