What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduling Registrar - Michigan Heart position at Trinity Health Michigan?
Responsible for scheduling caregivers to meet our clients’ needs, keeping care give continuity and client needs foremost in priorities. May provide support and coverage for payroll, billing and clerical support. May also provide multiple site and/or Hospice support.
Completes schedules accurately, timely and appropriately. Coordinates scheduling and facilitates process of assigning caregivers to clients based on client need and caregiver continuity.
Communicates with Team Leaders/Staff to arrange initial visit, coordinate future visits and define an optimal schedule for all involved disciplines. Ensures scheduling is performed in accordance with defined policy and procedure.
Responds to staff requests timely and appropriately. Works to fill caregiver vacancies due to illness, vacations, unplanned absences, etc.
Strives to achieve continuity of caregivers at client’s home by scheduling no more than three different caregivers per discipline to a client during his/her length of stay.
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health Organization Integrity Program, Code of Ethics, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
Provides clerical support, monitors timely submission of employee documentation and maintains client files.
Compiles and communicates statistical information for supervisor and corporate office as required.
Performs audits, data collection and clerical support as required.
Seeks assistance on a timely, as needed basis.
Returns request for information and support on a timely basis.
Acts independently and responsibly to perform duties on a consistent basis and in a timely manner.
Maintains good rapport and cooperative relationships. Approaches conflict in a constructive manner. Helps to identify problems, offer solutions, and participates in their resolution.
Maintains the confidentiality of information acquired pertaining to patient, physicians, employees, and visitors to Saint Joseph Mercy Health System. Discusses patient and hospital information only among appropriate personnel in appropriately private places.
Assumes responsibility for performance of job duties in the safest possible manner, to assure personal safety and that of coworkers, and to report all preventable hazards and unsafe practices immediately to management.
Provides quality patient care by considering the age specific, development and cultural needs through competent clinical practice. Demonstrates unit/area competencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of scheduling experience in a health care setting.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Demonstrates a commitment to customer service and accepts challenges to improve processes.
- Ability to type 50 wpm and use work processing software.
- Proficient in the use of scheduling software.
- Working knowledge of standard office equipment.
- Ability to consistently demonstrate commitment to the mission and Organizational Code of Ethics, and adhere to the Compliance Program.
