Job Specific Competencies
- Assist technologist in delivery of care to patients that are having a CAT scan procedure.
- Assist technologist by giving patient proper consent form to fill out prior to procedure
- Seeks guidance from appropriate personnel when unsure of any safety or procedure issues.
- Appropriately refers problems to technologist or radiologist.
- Provides technologist with paperwork and chart if applicable.
- Assists patient on and off the CT table, utilizing proper body mechanics and patient moving devices.
- Demonstrates knowledge of patient, visitor and colleague safety.
- Demonstrates knowledge of universal precautions.
- Verifies that all Medication Reconciliation forms are completed and signed prior to scanning into PACS.
- Demonstrates ability to use office equipment.
- Answers the telephone in a courteous and timely manner and relays messages as needed.
- Applies knowledge of safety and assures safety of patients and visitors.
- Demonstrates and understands needs of patients.
- Participates in performance improvement activities to enhance quality of service and customer relations
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
