Job Responsibilities
- Plans and coordinates patient assignments.
- Assists in the coordination of staff on a daily basis to assure delivery of patient care by competent caregivers.
- Communicates on an ongoing basis the staffing patterns to the Patient Care Manager.
- Promotes supervision and guidance of nursing personnel, including pool and agency staff.
- Provides a climate conducive to educational experiences for nursing students and new employees.
- Functions as a preceptor when necessary.
- Recognizes roles of non-RN staff based on Hospital policy and State Board regulations.
- Provides a climate respectful of cultural diversity
