What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Representative - Patient Registration position at Trinity Health Of New England?
Position Purpose
The Front Desk Representative is the person who controls the patient and workflow at the clinical site for Same Day Surgery.
What you will do
Greets patients/visitors to the medical practice in a pleasant, professional and efficient manner, and ensures that the wait period is comfortable. Schedules patient appointments for the practice and patient referrals.
Processes calls to ensure patients/customers are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner.
Assists with the preparation of grant information and materials
Prepares and maintains patient’s medical records. Obtains accurate registration and insurance information. Ensures all pre-certifications and referrals are done in a timely manner.
Ensures immediate resolution of problems, concerns and complaints of patients, families, visitors, co-workers, medical professionals and the public.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required.
College coursework in the secretarial or medical sciences preferred.
Minimum of one year experience working in a physician’s office required, preferably in a similar capacity.
Familiarity with medical terminology required.
