Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a 36 bed Med-Surg Unit including the supervision of all staff
- Provide mentoring, training, and team building to the unit staff
- Assist the Director with performance improvement activities, unit and patient satisfaction, and policy development.
- Ensure high-quality care standards and a safe environment, complying with infection control standards, specialty organizations, DPH, and The Joint Commission standards.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Licensure: Valid and current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive nursing management experience required; 5 years of combined inpatient RN experience in clinical nursing and management preferred.
- Certification: Current BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
