Position Purpose
Completes patient registrations/pre-registration processes following department procedures. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability information. Responsible for working with multiple department/hospital and web-based systems.

Johnson Memorial Hospital and Home & Community Health Services provide a continuum of health care services to those living and working in north central Connecticut and western Massachusetts. The 92-bed hospital and home health and hospice agency have been anchor institutions in north central Connecticut for more than 100 years.

Position Purpose
Completes patient registrations/pre-registration processes following department procedures. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability information. Responsible for working with multiple department/hospital and web-based systems.
What You Will Do
- Perform complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions
- Verify insurance requirements
- Obtain and understand insurance benefits
- Ensure that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are
- Collect non-covered fees
- Minimum High school or equivalent
- One year experience in an accredited hospital or physician's office preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances
- Full time 40 hours rotating shifts-- shift and weekend differentials will apply
- Every other weekend day shift; weekdays are three evenings (3p-11:30p) and one swing shift (11:30a-8p) on a two week rotating schedule
- Excellent benefits starting day 1
