Job Description : Employment TypePart timeShiftDay ShiftDescriptionPosition Purpose : At Mercy Medical Center, the Pre-Admission Surgical Screening Registered Nurse RN prepares patients for surgical readiness.Minimum QualificationsEducation : Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN degree is preferred.Registered Nurse RN Licensure : Valid and current Massachusetts registered nurse licensure is required.Experience : 1 or more years of nursing experience in an Acute InPatient setting is required. Perioperative or General Surgical experience is preferred.BLS or CPR certification : Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.Requires the ability to practice utilizing AORN (Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses) recommended standards and guidelines.Position Highlights And BenefitsPart-Time – 20 hours / week - Day Shift.Ministry / Facility InformationMercy Medical Center has established itself as one of the leading providers of health care services in Western Massachusetts.
