What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Lead Patient Registration - ED Admitting Registrar position at Trinity Health Of New England?
Position Purpose:
Lead the team of Registrars who complete patient registrations/pre-registration processes. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability information. Responsible for working with multiple department/hospital and web-based systems.
What You Will Do:
Accurately enters/updates all patient demographic information, including insurance and patient liability data into computer in a reasonable amount of time as established by department guidelines and supervised observation.
Demonstrates knowledge of hospital procedures and communicates policies as appropriate.
Recommends changes and/or improvement in systems to improve productivity, quality and cost effectiveness as conditions change.
Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality at all times according to the established hospital procedures to ensure that the dignity and respect of the patient is maintained. Posts copayments to appropriate screen and completes reconciliation
Promotes effective working relationship among team members and other departments by functioning as a resource person.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
One year experience in an accredited hospital or physician's office preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances
Must follow oral and written instructions, good grammar with excellent spelling ability
Strong interpersonal, communication and interview skills
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer systems and computer devices (personal computers, terminals, and printers)
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
