Highland Hills Retirement Village is seeking a dedicated and experienced Dining Service Supervisor to oversee dining service operations and ensure a high-quality dining experience for our residents. This role is responsible for supervising dining staff, maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the dining area, and upholding excellent customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision & Leadership: Oversee servers and dining staff to ensure efficient and courteous service.
- Training & Development: Train new employees on serving procedures, customer service, and safety protocols.
- Service Excellence: Ensure all meals are served promptly and according to resident dietary needs and preferences.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Assist in staff scheduling and monitor attendance to maintain proper coverage.
- Quality Control: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining room and kitchen areas.
- Resident Engagement: Build relationships with residents to provide a personalized and welcoming dining experience.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve resident concerns and staff issues in a professional manner.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in food service, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and customer service best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
