DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. High School diploma required.
2. Previous Hospital experience preferred.
3. Knowledge of insurance regulations preferred.
CUSTOMER SERVICE/TEAMWORK FOCUS:
1. Cooperates well with other staff and management personnel.
2. Must have flexibility in accepting varied hours and shifts according to the needs of the department.
3. Balances the need to complete individual work with overall team, department, or hospital needs and goals.
4. Demonstrates a commitment to meeting patients’ needs and expectations.
5. Projects a professional appearance at all times.
- Provides for prompt and effective internal and outgoing communication services for the Hospital staff and inpatients.
- Collects accurate information for registering inpatient admissions, emergency services and outpatients for services.
- Provide for communications through the PBX console by answering incoming calls, transferring calls, and use of the intercom system as needed.
- Acts as receptionist for the ESD and for inpatient and outpatient services.
- Initiates, transmits and contributes accurate information in a timely and confidential manner.
- Maintains the dignity and confidentiality of the patient and responds to their empathy, as well as observes the patient’s rights at all times.
- Required to demonstrate the knowledge/skills necessary to provide care or service based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the needs of the patients served.
