- POSITION SUMMARY
- Responsible for accurate, complete and timely application and execution of a planned course of radiotherapy according to the prescription and instruction of the radiation oncologist. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Assists the Radiation Oncology Manager in coordinating the efforts of medical physics management, dosimetry, nursing, secretarial and technical staffs to provide appropriate, concise and comprehensive care for all patients. Provides oversight to the radiation therapists ensuring the optimum performance of image acquisition, therapy planning, and radiation treatments.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
- ARRT registered in Radiation Therapy
- BLS certification preferred, but not required
- NDMIRTBE licensed prior to start of employment
- Educational Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school of radiation therapy, as evidenced by licensure
- Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of lead therapist experience preferred
- Special Skills or Training Requirements
- A willingness to teach others
- Good communication skills
