- POSITION SUMMARY
- Utilizes the nursing process in performing delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurse on a preceptorship nurse relationship. Carries out designated responsibilities to which he/she has been educationally prepared and demonstrates competence. Scope of practice is defined as those functions limited by law to unlicensed personnel and this job description.

- Educational Requirements
- Refer to course outline of Level I and Level II of specific nursing program. Level I must be enrolled and have completed the second year of accredited registered nurse program. Level II must have completed the third year of accredited registered nurse program.
- Experience Requirements
- Must demonstrate initiative in carrying out assigned responsibilities. Must have a GPA of at least 2.3. Supervised by designated Preceptor Nurse and assigned Nurse Manager. Supervised indirectly by College of Nursing Instructor assigned to Cooperative/Internship Program.
- Special Skills or Training Requirements
- Resourcefulness in dealing with emergency situations. Communication skills, manual dexterity, physical stamina, visual and hearing acuity, critical thinking skills.

- Must show evidence of current TB Testing, Hepatitis B vaccine status. Must have evidence of Safety and Standard Precautions Orientation. Must sign Confidentiality Statement
