Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Rigger to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of heavy equipment and materials on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of rigging techniques, heavy equipment operation, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project success.
Duties
- Set up and operate rigging equipment to lift, move, and position heavy loads.
- Inspect rigging equipment for safety compliance and functionality before use.
- Collaborate with crane operators and other crew members to coordinate lifts and ensure safe operations.
- Utilize various types of heavy machinery including bulldozers, concrete mixers, water trucks, tankers, and roll-off trucks.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines on construction sites to minimize risks.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and inspections.
- Assist in the training of new riggers in safe practices and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in rigging or heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Familiarity with farm machinery, Caterpillar equipment, commercial driving, and construction site operations is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to rigging and heavy lifting.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining focus on individual tasks.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license is required; commercial driving experience is an advantage.

Pay: $18.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
