About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated Computer Engineer I to join Trinity IT's engineering team in support of our contract with the US Navy. In this role, you will contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of both computer hardware and software systems. You may be working on everything from computer chips and circuit boards to operating systems and application-level software.

This position is ideal for entry-level engineers who are passionate about building integrated hardware-software systems and applying the principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematics to solve real-world challenges.

This position is contingent upon contract award. 
This position requires an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance, which requires US citizenship.

Key Responsibilities:

Hardware Engineering:

• Assist in the design and testing of computer hardware components, such as processors, memory devices, circuit boards, and peripheral devices.

• Support the development of schematics and physical layouts for hardware systems.

• Participate in the supervision of manufacturing and installation of computer systems and related equipment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware with software systems.

Software Engineering:

• Assist in designing and developing software systems and applications to meet user needs.

• Analyze user requirements and translate them into software design specifications.

• Develop algorithms and troubleshoot programming issues, focusing on performance and scalability.

• Work with programming languages such as C, C , Java, and occasionally Fortran or COBOL.

• Participate in testing and evaluation of software for quality assurance and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of

            concentration in computer science.

• 0-2 years of experience in computer, electrical or electronics engineering.
• Candidate must possess an ACTIVE SECRET security clearance. 

• Solid understanding of both hardware fundamentals (digital logic, computer architecture) and software principles (algorithms, programming, systems design).

• Familiarity with computer hardware (CPUs, memory, I/O systems) and software development tools.

• Experience with or coursework in C, C , or Java programming.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Salary : $109,928 - $124,000
