About the Role:
Trinity IT is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician IV to provide advanced technical support to engineering and development teams as part of a contract with the US Navy. This senior-level technician will assist with the design, testing, modification, and implementation of complex systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience, technical versatility, and a strong understanding of engineering principles and processes.
This position is contingent on contract award.
This position requires a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance, which requires US citizenship.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform complex technical work in support of engineering activities including design, testing, repair, and documentation of systems or components.

Fabricate, assemble, and modify prototypes, equipment, and systems in accordance with engineering specifications.

Conduct functional, environmental, and operational tests; analyze data and prepare detailed technical reports.

Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for technical problems.

Coordinate with engineers and project teams to execute project goals and maintain schedules.

Ensure compliance with safety procedures, technical standards, and quality assurance requirements.

Provide guidance to junior technicians and participate in mentoring or training efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- Active SECRET Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or related technical field.

10 years of experience as an engineering technician, with increasing levels of responsibility.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

Experience with laboratory instruments, diagnostic tools, and test equipment.

Strong understanding of engineering practices in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a government or defense contracting environment.

Familiarity with CAD software, data acquisition systems, and electronics troubleshooting.

Working knowledge of ISO, MIL-STD, or other relevant technical standards.

Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
