Trinity Landing - Barista - Part time OPEN 7AM-4P
Potential 3$ per hour if Opt out.
Position Purpose/Summary:
The Dining Services staff will take food/beverage orders from residents, guests, and
staff in a friendly and efficient manner. All duties should be performed in a manner that
enhances a fine dining atmosphere and in accordance with current laws and
regulations, as well as in conjunction with facility goals and objectives.
Essential Functions (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals
with disabilities to perform the essential functions):
1. Greet and seat residents, guests, and staff members for meals and other dietary
programs.
2. Complete table set-up for all dining room meals, as well as Assisted Living parties,
meetings, and special events as necessary.
3. Maintain all dining/special function areas (tables, chairs, carpet, floors, kitchen
service area, and lighting fixtures) in compliance with cleanliness standards.
4. Inform residents, guests, and facility staff of any/all menu items in a pleasant and
polite manner.
5. Collect orders, serve beverages, and deliver items to residents, guests, and staff
deftly and accurately.
6. Check the quality of the final servings and resolve any issues.
7. Promptly remove plates when residents, guests, etc., are finished.
8. Assemble and deliver meals to Assisted Living, resident apartments, and to-go
orders as needed.
9. Gather meal tickets and complete meal tickets for each resident, including all
required information, and deliver to Cook.
10. Support other wait staff in duties such as dishwashing and detail cleaning.
11. Complete other duties as assigned.
Education: Ability to read and write at a level sufficient to complete assigned tasks.
Experience: Familiar with food service industry. Patient and friendly, with demonstrated
experience in problem solving.
Specific skills/abilities: Outstanding people skills; customer oriented, and planning skills.
Specialized knowledge, licenses, etc.: N/A
Preferences (Optional):
1. Previous experience as a Food Server in fine dining establishment and/or formal
experience in a resort or similar environment.
2. Willingness to become certified in the Heimlich maneuver within 3 months of
employment.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: (Reasonable accommodations may be
made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions):
1. Ability to lift, carry, deliver, and serve from trays weighing up to 50 pounds on a
regular basis.
2. Ability to utilize tray stands for trays while distributing orders to customers; require
manual dexterity.
3. Ability to stand and walk continually throughout the day
4. Ability to bend, stoop, and reach while carrying serving trays weighing up to 50
pounds.
