Managing Director, Tech & AI Solutions - AI Consulting Leader

Position Summary  

We are seeking an AI Consulting Leader to spearhead the design, development, and delivery of high-impact AI solutions within the life sciences sector. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong consulting background, particularly in life sciences, who is well-versed in data science, AI, and value-based solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in orchestrating complex AI initiatives, including one-off high-value projects, scalable custom product solutions, and transformational programs that deliver ongoing insights and real-world impact. 

Essential Functions 

Strategic Leadership & Vision  

Drive collaboration with Trinity’s Centers of Excellence (e.g., Launch, Med Tech etc.) to develop value propositions that combine Trinity’s data science capabilities and deep life science expertise.  Within Trinity and externally, provide thought leadership on driving value from AI across opportunities in life science commercial. 
 
Revenue Growth & Client Development  

Drive revenue growth through expanding AI services and solutions within existing and new client relationships. Collaborate closely with business development teams to craft tailored AI consulting offerings and secure new projects, foster trusted partnerships with key stakeholders.   
 
Solution Design & Delivery  

Oversee the development and deployment of bespoke AI products, tools, and decision-support solutions that drive data-driven insights and enable large-scale transformations. Ensure high standards in solution design and deployment by combining business and design thinking with vision on how to apply AI and data science methodologies. 
 
Cross-functional Team Leadership 

Build and lead multidisciplinary teams of data scientists, consultants, and project managers to execute AI engagements effectively. Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. 
 
Stakeholder Engagement  

Act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating complex technical AI concepts into actionable insights and strategies for business stakeholders. Engage with C-suite executives and other senior leaders to communicate the value and outcomes of AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and maximizing client satisfaction. 
 
Market Insights & Innovation  

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI, data science, and life sciences. Identify opportunities for innovation and ensure our AI consulting offerings remain competitive and relevant. 

Qualifications

Position Requirements 

Education: Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., data science, AI, life sciences, engineering, business). MBA or equivalent is preferred. 

Work Experience: 10 years in consulting, with a focus on life sciences and a proven track record in designing and delivering AI-based solutions. Experience in revenue-generating roles is essential. 

Other Skills: 

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data science, machine learning, and AI methodologies. Hands-on experience with AI-driven decision support and analytics platforms is a plus. 
 
Business Acumen: Deep understanding of life sciences industry dynamics, including R&D, commercial, and regulatory aspects. Ability to articulate the strategic and operational implications of AI-driven solutions in these areas. 
 
Leadership: Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects at scale. Ability to inspire and coach a high-performing team in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Trinity’s salary bands account for a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets and market demand for skills; level of experience and training; specific qualifications, performance, time in role/company, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $270,000 - $300,000.  

In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus.
