JOB DESCRIPTION
Trinity Lutheran ECC is looking for a part-time child caregiver/assistant teacher, Monday-Friday for 30 hours/week. Ideal candidate should have classroom experience and be able to educate children. There will be a mandatory background and fingerprint test. Candidate should be able to provide quality Christian care and education to children that will prepare them for life on earth and in heaven. Minister to parents in the congregation and community by providing child-care services that meet their needs as well as support them in the nurturing process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Help with general housekeeping tasks.
2. Maintain professional attitudes and loyalty to Trinity at all times.
3. Treat all children with dignity and respect.
4. Attend all staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences.
5. Assist the lead caregiver or ECC Teacher in appropriate ways.
6. Follows state licensing guidelines for management of the classroom.
7. Complete assigned tasks from lead teacher or director.
8. Maintain accurate records for licensing pertaining to the daily activities of the children in the room. a. Diapering b. Meals c. Naps d. Other needs throughout the day
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be at least 18 years old
2. Understand and support Trinity mission and purpose.
3. Meet state minimum requirements for the position including: a. Submit to fingerprinting through the Child Care Background Check program. b. Be considered “Eligible” to work in child care by Licensing and Regulatory Affairs
(LARA) and the Childcare Background Check program. c. Have a negative TB test on file (current within one year prior to employment).
4. Complete all necessary training required by LARA within the time frame set by LARA.
5. Able to lift at least 30 pounds, get up and down from the floor and able to otherwise keep up with the age of children assigned.

Pay: $13.26 - $16.49 per hour
