The Accounting Clerk will support the financial operations of the Trinity Lutheran Church and School by performing general accounting duties, maintaining accurate records and processing financial transactions.. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration.
- Experience using financial software, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff and church members.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and record financial transactions including accounts payable, deposits, and journal entries.
· Process invoices and bills for payment in a timely manner.
· Record and process all incoming receipts, including tuition payments, offerings, donations, and other revenue
· Issue receipts for donations and other income and track them appropriately.
· Assist in student billing including tuition collection and recording.
· Assist in the financial management of fundraising events
· Assist with recording Deinzer transactions
· Prepare memorial and thank you letters
· Collect and process mail related to accounting department
· Partner with the Finance Manager in assigning new duties as they arise.
