RN - ER Day Shift

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in acute care and demonstrate exceptional clinical skills in a fast-paced environment. As an integral member of our healthcare team, the Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care, support critical decision-making, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties

• Assess and triage patients presenting to the Emergency Room, prioritizing care based on severity of condition.
• Administer medications, perform tube feeding, and assist with gastric lavage as necessary.
• Monitor vital signs and manage patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Conduct specimen collection processing and ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans, home care needs, and follow-up care.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Participate in occupational health assessments and emergency response initiatives as required.
• Stay current with advancements in emergency nursing practices and participate in ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Proven experience in acute care settings; emergency room experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of physiology and ability to apply this knowledge in clinical decision-making.
• Proficiency in triage procedures and emergency response techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Familiarity with outpatient services is a plus; experience in home care settings is also beneficial.
• Commitment to providing high-quality nursing care while adhering to all regulatory standards.
