Job Summary
The Memory Care Director is responsible for overseeing the operations of a memory care unit within a standard licensed community. The Memory Care Director will also collaborate with families, staff, and external professionals to create a supportive environment that promotes dignity, respect, and quality of life for all residents.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive memory care programs tailored to the needs of residents.
- Supervise and train staff in best practices for memory care and medication administration.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of care.
- Manage budgets effectively to ensure efficient operation of the memory care unit.
- Collaborate with families to provide updates on resident progress and address any concerns.
- Conduct regular assessments of residents to adjust care plans as necessary.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages social interaction and engagement among residents.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, staff training, and operational procedures.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of budgeting principles and financial management in a healthcare setting.
- Experience in home care or community-based care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Proven ability to supervise staff effectively while promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and best practices in assisted living environments.
- Background in working within retirement homes or group homes is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,500.00 - $65,000.00 per year
