What are the responsibilities and job description for the Montessori Preschool Teacher position at Trinity Montessori Inspired Preschool?
We are seeking a Preschool Teacher to join our Montessori Inspired Preschool for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year! This individual will work together with a co teacher to plan and present age appropriate Montessori activities for children. Candidates must be self-motivated, patient, energetic, and possess a positive attitude. Candidates should be able to demonstrate respect for the child, school, and environment. Hours are 8:45am to 1:30pm, five days a week. We are a 9 month preschool and are open from September to May. Promptness and dependability are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Follow Montessori principles and prepare classrooms that meet Montessori requirements
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, coworkers, and parents
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
- Promote physical, mental, social, and spiritual development of children
Qualifications:
- Montessori experience/knowledge strongly preferred but we are willing to train
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,200.00 per month
