Responsibilities:
Review and verify accuracy of billing data- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Review EOBs, remittance advice, and other correspondence from payers
- Utilize medical collection best practices to ensure timely payments
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic medical records systems- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT coding
- Familiarity with medical collection procedures
- Previous experience in a home health setting is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Knowledge in PCRs and ADRs
