About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Educational Leader to oversee all aspects of our preschool community. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our team of teachers and staff, ensuring the highest standards of early childhood education and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Management: Lead and empower the team of teachers, assistant teachers, and staff in their respective roles.
- Program Development: Recruit, hire, and train staff to fill vacant positions, observe and evaluate staff annually, providing constructive and respectful feedback.
- Financial Management: Collaborate with the Treasurer and Executive Committee of the Board of Directors to prepare the annual budget, develop and allocate budgets for staff salaries, supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Communication: Provide content for a monthly newsletter to keep parents informed about school events, policies, and philosophies, maintain open communication with staff through personal meetings, daily interactions, email, and posted notices.
- Administration: Prepare and present a monthly report for the Board of Directors, respond to requests and suggestions from the Board of Directors, collaborate with the church liaison and administration to maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper functioning of the facility.
Requirements:
- Education: Hold a B.S. (M.S. preferred) in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or early childhood special education.
- Experience: Have 3-5 years of classroom teaching experience (preferred), possess at least three years of program administration experience, with NAEYC-accredited programs preferred.
- Certifications: Pennsylvania State Director's Credential preferred.
