As a Quality Control Inspector, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our custom steel fabrication, pipe production, and steel plate/coil distribution. At Trinity Products, we’re 100% Employee-Owned – meaning you share in our success!
What You’ll Be Doing:
?? Inspect raw materials, in-process work, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
?? Perform sample inspections on large-quantity parts and conduct final outbound checks before shipment.
?? Cut and conduct bend testing to assess welder qualifications.
?? Verify compliance with AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code and other industry standards.
?? Work hands-on with welding, fitting, and structural steel fabrication.
?? Use precision measurement tools to ensure accuracy in inspections.
?? Document all inspections and communicate findings to management.
What You Bring to the Team:
?? 3-5 years of experience in welding, fitting, and quality inspections.
?? Proficiency in blueprint reading and weld symbology (AWS D1.1 preferred).
?? Experience with measurement gauges, micrometers, calipers, and weld gauges.
?? Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
?? Ability to work independently and solve problems on the fly.
?? A commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.
Strongly Preferred:
NDT Level II Certification (Visual Inspection & Ultrasonic Testing – Shear Wave).
Knowledge of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) standards.
Previous experience in Quality Control roles within structural steel or manufacturing.
Familiarity with Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) & Performance Qualification Records (PQR).
