Job Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of an assigned intern mentor, the intern will support our commercial tenants in creating an exceptional environment for their businesses through the Internship Program. This program provides participants the opportunity to work alongside our team of professionals to foster a thriving and engaging experience for renters across the nation.
Our dynamic portfolio is expanding rapidly as we offer investors ethical investment opportunities while improving communities through renovation projects. We are currently seeking interns with an entrepreneurial spirit and a can-do attitude to collaborate with our management teams nationwide.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the oversight of tenant relations, lease administration, AR/AP, and vendor relations.
- Inputting lease data into Yardi.
- Interacting and supporting Regional Commercial Manager with tenant renewals and lease compliance.
- Support with maintenance requests and interfacing with onsite teams and Redwood Construction.
- Accounts Payable, receive and track all invoices to ensure prompt payment and accuracy of financial records.
- Accounts Receivable, rent collection procedures and maintain accurate records of tenants’ rent payments and deliver rent default notices as needed.
- General administrative duties including but not limited to creating and delivering all tenant communications and maintaining accurate record keeping for assigned portfolio.
- Ability to effectively communicate and maintain positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and team members.
- Coordinate property inspections and leasing tours with vacating tenants and vacant spaces for lease.
- Assist with tenant move ins and move outs and onboarding of Commercial Café and initial welcome correspondence.
- Participate in property tours and site visits
- Clerical & phone support
- Maintain digital and paper records
- Assist with legal evictions processes
- Practice critical resolution decision-making skills and demonstrate ability to resolve resident complaints
- Review the financial move out process
- Handle stress effectively
- Ability to handle additional duties or projects as assigned by Mentor

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote or in-office environment.
- Maintain a commitment to ongoing professional development and career growth through the Fowler Internship Program.
- Enrolled in a 4-year accredited program, Real Estate, Hospitality or Property Management preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, with exceptional skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Financial analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize work assignments to meet deadlines.
- The intern will be required to sit regularly, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach using feet, legs, back, arms, and hands. The intern may occasionally be required to climb. The intern will be required to work at a personal computer and talk on the phone for extended periods of time. Must possess the ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms and be available to work extended/flexible hours and weekends as needed.
- Internship may require availability to work some nights and weekends. Regular attendance and active participation at company functions and events may also be required.
