Overview
The House Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of a Group home. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage various household tasks, oversee staff, and provide exceptional service to adult males with serious mental health issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to creating a welcoming and efficient home environment.
Duties
- Oversee daily household operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Manage household staff, including hiring, training, and supervising personnel.
- Plan and coordinate events, gatherings, and special occasions, ensuring all details comply with ADHS rules and regulations.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in the intake/admission and discharge processes for all assigned clients.
- Comply with the clients’ activity schedule, scheduled menu, house rules, and TRH policies and procedures.
- Ensure clients are transported to their scheduled program activities / events, outings, medical / dental / psychiatric appointments with completed appointment schedulers, and local agencies as identified on their treatment plan.
- Responsible for conducting and overseeing community meetings and daily non-clinical groups.
- Responsible for ensuring all internal documentation is completed consistently and accurately.
- Responsible for conducting non-clinical trainings, coaching, and mentoring all assigned staff members.
- Responsible for the supervision of all assigned staff members including, but not limited to, carrying out disciplinary actions and completing annual employee evaluations.
- Responsible for recording all company-related transactions, turning in all invoices and receipts, and adhering to an assigned budget.
- Responsible for maintaining the facility’s weekly staff schedule, ensuring it is posted, and filling any open shifts that arise.
- Responsible for responding to employee requests and adjusting assigned employee errors within the Insperity Time and Attendance program (Daily process).
- Responsible for turning in timesheets and bed logs to the designated recipient on time and error free.
- Responsible for the overall safety of the residents, the staff, and the facility.
- Responsible for maintaining, coordinating, and ordering all assigned clients’ medications.
- Responsible for completing all initial documentation related to medications and MARs.
- Assist with the implementation of assigned clients’ treatment goals and objectives (review progress notes and clinical summaries for accuracy).
- Provide backup shift coverage when necessary and on-call responsibilities as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUISITES:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
§ Has a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a field related to behavioral health, or
§ Has a Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field and at least one (1) year of full-time behavioral health experience, or
§ Has an Associate’s degree and at least two (2) years of full-time behavioral health experience, or
§ Has a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and at least four (4) years of full time behavioral health work experience.
§ Has at least one (1) year of experience within a supervisory or management position.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
§ Lift 25 pounds
§ Drive a vehicle
§ Completes required trainings
§ Participates in required supervision
§ Physically able to perform the primary responsibilities and working conditions as evidenced by a physical exam or nursing assessment prior to hire
§ Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies

WORKING CONDITIONS: EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS:

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.25 - $20.00 per hour
