Pay Tier: 4

Compensation: $760/week (40-48 weeks), competitive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, voluntary supplemental benefits, 401(k), vacation, sick time, and paid holidays

Start Date: July 28, 2025 or August 25, 2025 (Latest possible start date: September 22, 2025)

End Date: June 28, 2026

Summary:

Trinity Rep is seeking three production assistants to join our team for the 2025-26 Season, with the potential for extension into the 2026-27 Season. Under the supervision of the producing director and the individual AEA stage management teams for each show, the production assistants will provide support throughout pre-production, rehearsals, and performances for three to four shows of Trinity’s six-show season. Ideal candidates will have strong leadership skills and be willing to learn.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Assist stage management teams with pre-production tasks

· Restock inventory for stage management and hospitality supplies

· Keep accurate notes during rehearsals regarding scenery changes, props, costumes, etc.

· Create and maintain show-related paperwork as assigned by the PSM or ASM

· Offer script support by being on book, giving line notes, tracking script changes, and generating/distributing new pages during rehearsals

· Attend production meetings and take notes for distribution to the rest of the team

· Prepare rehearsal studios, stage, and backstage areas: sweeping/mopping, prop tables, costume areas, water stations, hospitality, etc.

· Serve as a member of the running crew during technical rehearsals and performances, carrying out track assignments with focus and precision. This includes scenic transitions, prop moves, handoffs, quick changes, etc., and may require being in costume at times due to the needs of the individual production

· Perform daily preset checks to ensure the show and backstage areas are properly prepared and safe

· Assist with all changeovers for productions performed in repertory

· Support other production departments as capacity allows, including scenic, props, wardrobe, electrics, sound, and company management

· May occasionally be asked to assist with other production-related events

· Miscellaneous building support

Requirements

Experience / Education:

Two or more years of professional theatrical stage management experience and/or internship; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technical Skills/Knowledge:

· Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

· An understanding of basic prop, costume, and scenic knowledge is a plus

· Familiarity with the backstage operations of a working theater

· Knowledge of general theater practices and lingo

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other cloud-based software
