Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Technician to join our team. The Safety Technician will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and implementing best practices to minimize risks in the workplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OSHA regulations, workers' compensation, and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Provide training to employees on safety protocols
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences
- Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and improve overall safety culture
- Stay current on industry trends and changes in safety regulations
Qualifications
- One of the following BCSP Certificates: CSP, CHST, or OHST (Required)
- Cal/OSHA 30- hour Construction certificate (Required)
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field (Preferred)
- Proven 5 years experience in compliance management, EHS, and risk management
- Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and guidelines
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels
Cert requirements
-Cal/Osha 30
-Traffic control supervisor certification
-CPR/First Aid
